[icon name="fa-slideshare"] STANDARD 2: design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments

The latest addition to Kaohsiung American Middle School, Lauren Castello is taking the tip of the hat this week for her absolute willingness to embrace technology at KAS. Even though she only joined us this semester, she is already a familiar visitor of the learning technology office and regularly seeks out collaborations with Tom, our technology coach.

In this example (and there are already many), she is using the iPad app Anatomy 4D to bring cardiology to life for her students. Anatomy 4D is an augmented reality (AR) app which displays 3D animations when pointed at visual targets (here a piece of paper on the student’s desk). Animations of a 3D heart describe blood flow and the roles of each ventricles.
